Kirkuk University discusses the evaluation of irrigation water quality for some groundwater wells

The Faculty of Agriculture discussed a master's thesis on evaluating the quality of irrigation water for some groundwater wells in Kirkuk governorate.The thesis presented by the student, Asia Abdulkader Mohammed, aimed at evaluating the well water used for irrigation purposes by studying the specific variables of the validity of this water for irrigation, and determining the suitability of this water for watering agricultural crops spread in the study area.The letter concluded that the concentrations of positive and negative ions are mostly within the permissible limits for irrigation according to the standards, except for phosphate, potassium, magnesium and nitrates, it exceeded the permissible limits in varying proportions, and the results showed that all the studied well water is considered hard water Very and moderately difficult.
