Pursuant to the directives of the President of the University of Kirkuk Professor Amran Jamal Hassan, the Centre for Continuing Education in cooperation with the Psychological and Educational Guidance Division of the University concluded a training course on the preparation of guides (TOT), with the participation of the officials of the faculties' counseling units. The course included several lectures, through which the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Dr. Ahmed Jalak Shakir, presented an integrated program that included the introduction of educational guidance, the tasks and duties of pedagogical guides through theories on educational guidance and how to address and modify human behavior in the educational guidance framework. The Director of Psychological Counseling at the University, Prof. Dr. Halima Salman Al-Hamdani, said that Kirkuk University is the first of the Iraqi universities to prepare and complete the TOT course, among the recommendations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which concerns psychological guidance and its impact on the development of the educational process in public and private universities and colleges.
