In the presence of the president of the University of Kirkuk, professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hasan, the vice-president for the scientific affairs, professor Dr. Ahmed Abid Ibrahim Al-Obaidi, a number of deans of colleges, and the vice-president of the University of Al- Kitab, the University, in cooperation with the International Academy for leadership and Development, hosted the debate Mondial for Iraqi universities. During the opening of the World Cup, the president of the University praised the role of the Ministry of higher education and scientific research in raising the cumulative knowledge of Iraqi universities scientifically, culturally and cognitively, and stressed the need to build students ' personalities, enhance their critical thinking, motivate them to communicate effectively, and make them active individuals in their environment, which enhances the role of the University in community service. Students from the Universities of Kirkuk and Al- Kitab participated in intellectual scientific debates of this competition, which is considered the first event at the level of Iraqi universities, and after the analogical rounds that the students went through, the University of Kirkuk team won, and qualified for the next stages to compete with the winning Iraqi universities. It should be noted that the university debating Mondial is a cultural competition between Iraqi public and private universities; it aims at forming a scientific team representing Iraqi universities; in preparation for participation in the world universities Mondial, which is being held in the capital of Qatar, Doha.
