The College of Engineering at the University of Kirkuk participated in the activities of the fourth edition of the Gotech Conference and Exhibition 2023, with wide international participation and under the slogan "Sustainable Energy Transformation (Technology, Innovation, Finance)", in the oil and gas sector in the United Arab Emirates, for the period from March 13 to 15. The head of the oil department, Dr. Adnan Ajam Abd, said that the student (Sufyan Sami Hussein) from the College of Engineering—Oil Department was nominated to represent Kirkuk University, with 60 students from Arab and international universities participating in this conference. Which includes 50 technical sessions carefully selected by a group of professional technical committees and supported by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), during which the discussion focused on the challenges facing the oil and gas sector, best practices, and the use of innovative technologies and solutions to address key topics such as well designs and completion, he added. The GUtech conference will provide an opportunity for university students to compete and participate in many activities organized on the sidelines of the conference.
