Based on the objectives of the University of Kirkuk, which serve the community, and with the participation of the university president, Prof. Dr. Omran Jamal Hassan, and in cooperation with the Kirkuk Health Department and the main blood bank, the university organized a blood donation campaign for thalassemia patients, with the participation of a large number of university employees and students.The university president said that the campaign aims to perpetuate the culture of volunteer work by developing a sense and awareness of the importance of donating blood to save the lives of others who need it and confirming the university's role in supporting cases of incurable diseases. It is worth noting that this campaign is not the first at the university, as the university has participated in several previous campaigns to donate blood to the wounded heroic security forces of all kinds, in addition to making field visits to hospitals in the governorate and providing aid to patients.
