The Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Chalank Akram Omar, participated with a number of the teaching and engineering staff from the college in the annual conference of the Iraqi Engineers Union in Kirkuk, session 28, under the slogan "The engineer is a basic pillar of reconstruction," in the presence of the Captain of Engineers, Engineer Zulfiqar Hoshi Al-Maksousi. Dr. Chalank Akram, through her speech at the conference, stressed the importance of achieving the aspirations of engineers in their various specializations and how they must be treated fairly, take their role in future projects, and have job opportunities to ensure their future. She added that the conference discussed many issues related to engineers and aimed to improve their performance in coordination with the union, exchange experiences and skills, and provide them with the necessary support by finding mechanisms for cooperation.
