The head of the Department of Petroleum Engineering at the College of Engineering, Dr. Adnan Ajam Abd, participated as a member in the discussion of the master's thesis titled "Recommend Folding of Low Permeability Carbon Reservoirs" by Safia Atallah Jassam. A faculty member stated that the thesis aims to describe the petrophysical properties of the Saadi reservoir, which is one of the unconventional carbonate reservoirs located in the Halfaya oil field, as well as to calculate the oil reserves (OOIP) and conduct sensitivity and uncertainty analysis. He added that the study included determining the petrophysical properties from the probes and core data and building the geological model for the Saadi reservoir, which consists of calcite with a little dolomite.
